Workclick Privacy Policy
Workclick collects information about you when you use our mobile applications, websites, and other online products and services and through other interactions and communications you have with us. This Privacy Statement applies to information collected and used by Workclick Incorporation. (Workclick Incorporation is referred to herein as “Workclick” or “we” or “us”).
Scope of this Privacy Policy
Workclick values the privacy of individuals who use our applications, websites, and related services. This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, and share information from Workclick users (“Users”), comprised of both Workclick workers (“workers”) and Workclick Hirers (“Hirers”). Beyond the Privacy Policy, your use of Workclick is also subject to our Terms of Service.
Collection of Information
Information You Provide to Us
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create or modify your account, request on-demand services, contact customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. This information may include: name, email, phone number, postal address, profile picture, payment method, items requested (for delivery services), delivery notes, and other information you choose to provide.
Information We Collect When You Use Our Services
Location Information: When you use the Services for working or hiring, we collect precise location data about the transaction from the Workclick app used by the Worker and Hirer. If you permit the Workclick app to access location services through the permission system used by your mobile operating system (“platform”), we may also collect the precise location of your device when the app is running in the foreground or background. We may also derive your approximate location from your IP address.
Device Information. Workclick receives information from Users’ devices, including IP address, web browser type, mobile operating system version, phone carrier and manufacturer, application installations, device identifiers, mobile advertising identifiers, push notification tokens, and, if you register with your Facebook account, your Facebook identifier, or with your Google account, your Google identifier. We collect mobile sensor data from Workers’ devices (such as speed, direction, height, acceleration or deceleration) to improve location accuracy and analyze usage patterns.
Contacts Information: If you permit the Workclick app to access the address book on your device through the permission system used by your mobile platform, we may access and store names and contact information from your address book to facilitate social interactions through our Services and for other purposes described in this Statement or at the time of consent or collection.
Usage/Preference Information. To help us understand how you use our services and platforms, and to help us improve it, we automatically receive information about your interactions with the Workclick services, like the pages or other content you view, your actions within the Workclick app, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect information about how you and site visitors interact with our Services, preferences expressed, and settings chosen. Sometimes, we do this through the use of cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies that create and maintain unique identifiers. These help us to understand how you navigate through the Workclick Platform and interact with Workclick advertisements, to learn what content is popular, and to save your preferences.
Call and SMS Data: Our Services facilitate communications between Workers and Hirers. In connection with facilitating this service, we receive call data, including the date and time of the call or SMS message, the parties’ phone numbers, and the content of the SMS message. For security purposes, we may also monitor and/or record the contents of phone calls made on the Workclick Platform, such as those between Workers and Hirers. You will be given notice that your call may be recorded, and by proceeding you agree to allow Workclick to monitor and/or record your call.
Log Information: When you interact with the our services, we collect server logs, which may include information like device IP address, access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, app crashes and other system activity, type of browser, and the third-party site or service you were using before interacting with our Services.
User Feedback. We always want to make sure users are always enjoying great services. Workers and Hirers are encouraged rate and review each other at the end of every ride. We receive information about these ratings and reviews and give Hirers information about Workers’ ratings and reviews and vice versa.
Information We Collect From Other Sources
If you choose to link, create, or log in to your Workclick account with a payment provider (e.g., Google Wallet) or social media service (e.g., Facebook), or if you engage with a separate app or website that uses our API (or whose API we use), we may receive information about you or your connections from that site or app.
We may receive additional information about you, such as demographic data, payment information, or fraud detection information, from third party partners and combine it with other information that we have about you.
If your company, university, or organization participates in one of our partnership programs, we may receive information about you, such as your email address, from your participating organization. They may also provide us with your name and phone number.
Workclick works with third party partners to perform ethics records and criminal background checks on Workers, and we receive information from them such as publicly available information about a Workers’s professional or criminal history.
If you also interact with our Services in another capacity, we may combine or associate that information with information we have collected from you in your capacity as a Worker or Hirer.
How We Use the Information We Collect
We may use the information we collect about users to:
- Provide, maintain, personalize and improve our Services
- Perform internal operations
- Send or facilitate communications between Worker and Hirer
- Send you communications we think will be of interest to you, including information about products, services, promotions, news, and events of Workclick and other companies
- Analyze how the users uses the Workclick Platform
- Facilitate transactions and payments
- Provide you with customer support
- Find and prevent fraud
- Respond to trust and safety issues that may arise
- Sending emails and text messages to Workers who have started the worker application process regarding the status of their application
- Determining a Worker’s eligibility to work on Workclick
- Notifying Workers about service demand and service updates.
